•impact is from GLOBAL to GRASSROOTS

•they expand from JOURNALS to REALITY

•the innovations from RESEARCH reflect in REAL LIFE

•progress from EXPERIMENTS to EXPERIENCES of people
What is a TECHADE?

•It’s used to describe the decade being dominated by technologies.

•DATA & DEMOGRAPHIC DIVIDEND combined with India’s proven TECH prowess presents massive opportunity for the country.

•This decade will be ‘INDIA’s TECHADE’.

•India’s ranking is 7th in Patent Filing & 5th in Trademarks.

•India's patent registration has risen by 50% in the last 5 years.

•Our ranking in the GLOBAL INNOVATION INDEX by @WIPO has surged to 40 in 2022 from 81 in 2015.
•For the 1st time in the last 11 years in India,Domestic patent filings have outscored the country's foreign patent filings.

•Shows the growing scientific prowess of India
IISc: @iiscbangalore

•The 2 great personalities of India, Jamsetji Tata & Swami Vivekananda, have been the inspiration behind the establishment of the Indian Institute of Science, #Bengaluru

•It had 145 patents in 2022-a rare record.

•This means: 2 patents every 5 days!

•Science in India should be such which will make India SELF-RELIANT.

•Work on issues which are important for the entire humanity like energy

•Eg: To make National Hydrogen Mission successful, essential components like electrolyzers must be made in India

•Take note of what is going on in the world but also focus on futuristic ideas.

•Prioritise AI,AR & VR

•Eg: Make the country’s semiconductor future ready

•Take initiative to lead Industry 4.0
108th Indian Science Congress

•Theme: Science & Technology for Sustainable Development with Women Empowerment

•2 things in abundance in today’s 21st century India: DATA & TECHNOLOGY.

•Data Analysis will convert information into insight & analysis into actionable knowledge

•Today,India doesn’t think about women empowerment through science only

•Our aim is that we should empower science with the participation of women & give new momentum to science & research

•Women’s participation in Extramural R&D has doubled in the last 8years

•Emulate the sports model in science:

India is scaling new heights in sports due to 2 reasons:

-strong institutional framework to develop sports talents

-the influence of the ‘guru-shishya’ tradition through which new talents are recognized & nurtured

•Few Schemes of Digital India Mission:
-eSanjeevani solution for telemedicine
-PM SVANidhi

•Technology played a critical role during COVID to ensure:
