The Nebraska Freedom Coalition is once again on hand bringing you live updates from Hearing room 1525, where LB 626, The Nebraska Heartbeat Act, will hear testimony 💯 Everyone currently here in this room is a proponent! @ErinBamer@OWHnews line out door #nebraska#neleg#ProLife
Opponents of the Nebraska Heartbeat Act are screaming in the hallway. @janekleeb you bring your posse??
Senator Joni Albrecht giving her opening remarks as things are underway.
"This is my personal priority bill. Every child deserves love. Babies with beating hearts should be protected." #prolife
@senatormachaela Cavanaugh is the first to ask questions, not surprisingly. It is loud enough outside the hearing room from disruptors that the conversation back and forth is difficult.
Senator Day is now using inflammatory language and being obstinate towards Senator Albrecht 🤡 Noted, medical emergencies are excluded.
Albrecht pointing out how this is about babies with a heartbeat 💓 Senators Day and Cavanaugh clearly trying to make this about something else
Now with special invited testimony underway, Senator Day is spending all her time on her phone. Maybe PAY ATTENTION JEN and you might learn something..
Alas, maybe she just doesn't care...
"It is a scientific fact that life begins at fertilization. At 6 week gestation, the heart starts to beat." 💓
Dr. Tara Sander Lee #prolife
Ingrid Skop, another invited testifier and gynecologist from TX said,"No mother has lost their life in Texas under our similar law. A woman is 6 times more likely to die from suicide in the year after abortion than from birth."
Why is @CavanaughforLeg on her phone too? Listen up!
Nate Grasz, from the Nebraska Family Alliance, just wrapped up his testimony👍
Some points:
-Only 7 countries in the world allow elective abortions @ 20 weeks..
Some of those countries are guilty of the worst human rights abuses out there...
North Korea, China, etc. 😔
Jess Meeth from the Democrats for Life of America is here today 👍
"The right to life is for every human life. 👶
Human life should never be discarded or disposed of." #prolife
Senator Day should worry about the health risks from sitting like this and less about murdering babies...
Sherry Jones, State Board of Education member testifying -
"Every abortion takes a life and wounds a woman." #prolife
At 4:45, opponents of LB 626 will begin testifying. The committee will not get through every proponent, even with them trimming testifying down to 2 minutes a piece from 3, the first time around @ErinBamer@OWHnews wanted to remind you how many supporters are still here...
Worth noting, while many were giving their proponent testimony today, Senator Day was giving interviews 🙄
Instead of pushing a radical agenda, Jenny should have been listening to constituents!
Clearly, she doesn't care, just as she doesn't care for the life of babies 👎
For the record, this is the number of people who are still in line trying to testify in support of LB 626 as the 3 hour time limit wraps up 👍 #prolife
@senatormachaela Cavanaugh and Senator Day continue asking the same questions.
Senator Albrecht has told them repeatedly, "I've given you an answer. I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear."
Uncovered in Hunter Biden's indictment: a staggering evasion of $1.4M in taxes, false tax returns, and extravagant spending while owing taxes. Lavish lifestyles, with $1.2M on personal luxuries like exotic cars and hotels, all while dodging tax responsibilities.
If found guilty, such financial misconduct could lead to severe penalties, including substantial prison time per count.
Remember, this is the smartest man Joe Biden knows.
#Accountability #TaxEvasion
The indictment document reveals several instances where Hunter Biden made payments to women, which were questionable in nature:
1. Payments to Women for Personal Services:Hunter Biden made payments to various women who were either romantically involved with him or performing personal services. This included a $10,000 payment for his membership in a sex club. He also claimed these expenses as false business deductions, thus falsely reducing his reported income for tax purposes.
2. False Payroll Deductions: He falsely claimed that money paid to women with whom he had personal relationships were wages, thereby reducing his tax burden. Despite little to no business activity, he directed his personal assistant to place three women with whom he had romantic or sexual relationships, and a fourth woman related to one of them, on payroll and provide them with health care benefits. These expenses were falsely treated as business expenses on Owasco PC’s Form 1120, reducing the reported income.
3. Specific Payments to Individual’s: He made a $1,500 Venmo payment to an exotic dancer at a strip club, labeling the payment as for “artwork” when no artwork was sold. Additionally, there was a $975 payment to “Crutch Card” for the benefit of his then-girlfriend, which was unrelated to any business activity, and a $438 payment to “Shinola,” a clothing store, for personal items.
These actions suggest a pattern of using business accounts for personal expenses and falsely categorizing them as business deductions, impacting his tax liabilities.
The indictment against Hunter Biden outlines several questionable actions:
1. Tax Evasion Scheme: He engaged in a scheme from January 2017 to October 2020 to avoid paying at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes for the years 2016 through 2019. This included evading the assessment of taxes for 2018 by filing false tax returns in February 2020.
2. Extravagant Lifestyle Over Tax Payments: He spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle instead of paying his tax bills. This included large expenditures on luxury items and living expenses.
3. Failure to File Tax Returns: He willfully failed to file his tax returns for 2017 and 2018.
4. False Business Deductions:When he finally filed his 2018 tax returns, he included false business deductions to evade the assessment of substantial tax liabilities.
5. Financial Support for Personal Expenses* Between January and October 2020, an entertainment lawyer provided him with substantial financial support, including paying for a lavish house, a Porsche, and other personal expenses, amounting to over $1.2 million. This support was used for various personal expenses but not to pay his federal individual income tax liabilities.
6. Summary of Expenditures: A summary of approximate expenditures made from Owasco PC and the Defendant’s Bank Accounts from 2016 to 2019 was provided, detailing his personal expenses during this period.
These actions, as outlined in the indictment, paint a picture of significant financial mismanagement and legal transgressions, particularly concerning tax obligations and personal expenditures.

🚨Now at the Nebraska State Capitol 🚨
Debate on 574 is underway, well ahead of schedule!!
Senator @George4NE on the mic now, and even as lawyers go, using some of the most hyperbolic language we've heard this legislative session 🤡 We're curious, George, is your practice of law… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We will be keeping you updated minute to minute as things proceed this afternoon.
Now on the floor, @JustinTWayne and Speaker Arch having discussions with the Clerk of the legislature and Lt. Governor Joe Kelly. The conversation is intense, as Wayne has motioned to recommit the… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
@JustinTWayne is now attempting to overrule the chair, reading off from Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure.
Seen again as a way to consume time, and a way to vent frustration on the rules passed earlier in the session.
Wayne has come with some energy this afternoon, but we… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We wondered where he went when the Unicameral floor turned to lava for the Democrats. As soon as bills starting moving and the inevitable passing of LB77 (Constitutional Carry) to final round, Dip Dunker went comms silent. Don’t read his link to the Urinal Star. We took notes:
Sen. Erdman’s rules change passed 32-13 “The new rule is narrower than a proposed change considered by the Rules Committee earlier this year, which stipulated individual senators could only introduce each of the three priority motions once per day on each stage of debate.”
“We are blowing up this session,” @senatormachaela said. “This session is over and it’s on your terms because the terms were made clear to you for the last 4-6 weeks. You ignored that, you didn’t care.
We are back this afternoon as the legislature reconvenes!
We will bring you the important updates as the day progresses but right now here's a live look 👇👇👇
Anyone inside in there? Lights are off 💭 lol
Things starting to pick up here this afternoon:
-Senator @NebraskaMegan Hunt threatens Republican colleagues a few times
- Speaker Jon Arch says Hunt was late coming back from lunch, that's why she was skipped over
Sen. Hunt is consistently late in the mornings & for committees
Senator Hunt rudely attempts to speak while the Speaker has his time. Speaker Arch proceeds to say, "Please Senator."
Arch continues to say the session is not over (in response to Hunt earlier this morning)
Live at the Capitol this morning, Senator Steve Erdman moves to suspend the rules 💪 He says, "If you like the way things have went the first 50 days, vote against this rule change.
If you would like to get your bill to the floor for debate, vote for this rule change." #neleg
Speaker Jon Arch begins right off by saying he supports this rule change, then cites Mason's rules as to how this is perfectly acceptable. #neleg
Senator Conrad, from the fightin 46 🤡 cites the wildly fake news @JournalStarNews (@ChrisDunkerLJS) & says this is 'problematic' & 'unprecedented', using hyperbolic language and sounding crazy. She's big mad😳
30 votes needed to suspend the rules. Are there enough? We think so..
