- Most of the time the node operator/founder will create the ordinal and then sell OTC to community who are in a queue.

When creating a new clean, never expiring wallet address in electrum make sure you select 'never' then 'create request' 
for those new to ordinals, do NOT receive into a wallet containing existing sats/btc OR on an exchange. The ordinal will get mixed in with the sats there. We are waiting for an @ordinalswallet to be developed and usable.
make a completely new wallet if you want to receive another Ordinal to avoid mixing up the sats. Label the address with what's in there on electrum or whatever you're using.
