#Saturn actually rules 2 signs of the #Zodiac, like most of the other 7 planets, except the Sun & the moon.
If #Saturn describes the process of evolution in #Capricorn, then in #Aquarius, he describes mutation, dynamic innovation.
The "water" of #Aquarius is freshness and renewal based a deep and abiding connection to #Truth. It is to strive for integrity with others while appeciating a dignity for yourself.
FTR, & many don't know this, #Aquarius is NOT a water sign, but an #Air sign. They provide connection based on principle
The original idea of #Aquarius is far more terrestrial though. Many attribute its origin to the earliest waterbearer, the Nile.
One of the oddest sets of arguments that I got into in my late 20s/early 30s were with #Aquarians about the concept of #Truth
Let me explain. As a Sun in #Scorpio, I have a penchant toward profound cynicism.
(I'm in recovery.) Yet I dipped hard in the cynicism cider when I was younger.
One day, I said w/in earshot of an #Aquarian colleague, at 8 am (longer story), "Truth is a whore & I f--k her on occasion!
She went ballistic."How can u say that about Truth? There is such a thing as Truth...blah,blah,blah." We debated. She was hot & literally foaming at the mouth.
I thought #Truth had become a real person, and I was talking about her best friend.
Anyway, being the amateur social scientist & astrology skeptic that I was at the time, I decided to test this on other #Aquarians I knew.
I tested on my Aquarian father, friends, etc. Similar reax. I didn't get same reaction w/ a sample of other signs, including my own.
Now the answer to this…
#Aquarians may not believe in anybody's sacred cows, but do believe there are more objective measures of #Truth
& it's much deeper than "objective" truth for #Aquarius. It's also a matter of principle, based on their unique desires & vision.
This is why I cringe when I read so much bunk about #Aquarians being "detached." Here's my take on that…
First off, I don't know any detached #Aquarians and I've met a lot of them.
But here's what I would say is "detached" about them...THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR REINDEER GAMES OR YOUR RULES!
I screamed that cuz it's critical. If you are whining, again, abt how bad your cousin mistreats you & your Aquarian looks zoned out…
...this is not detachment. This is boredom.
You ain't talkin' about nothin' that's gonna change your world, his/hers or the world at large.
And let's be clear, in some capacity, #Aquarians want to change the world.
This doesn't mean that #Aquarians don't care about family or the details of life (though this is true for some). It means that…
...#Aquarians are often focused on what they think is the big picture & that includes family, etc. But they don't want to get…
...overwhelmed by the details. Nor anyone else's social expectations of what they *should* do…
They also can be very emotional. One was recently crying her heart out in my counseling chair. #Aquarius
They don't necessarily feel detached from their end. In fact, they often feel so much that they feel they don't/can't show. #Aquarius
This holding back often has nothing to do with the other person or a fear of showing weakness, per se.
#Aquarians spend a lot of time afraid of their uniqueness or weirdness. Some work against themselves from that fear.
So sometimes that aloofness/detachment is more an awkwardness abt how to show what's inside, because when…
…they've tried to show what's inside, it's not been well-received. Figures all things inside will be rejected.
Here is something else I LOVE about #Aquarians I've known or my observations. #Aquarians connect to people, not titles.
Example: I've known #Aquarians who've allowed their exes to drive their car after the relationship ends cuz they're still cool
The relationship doesn't end cuz titles have changed , nor the former amenities. This doesn't seem to be the way of the world.
People have the expectation that titles & certain boundaries matter. This is very difficult for non-#Aquarians to understand when…
...#Aquarians transgress them. You want your boyfriend to stop talking to his #Aquarian ex and best buddy.
You might be baffled when he may want to show you the door rather than them. #Aquarius
This is because #Aquarians are loyal, especially to their friends. They reflect a key aspect of their own individuality.
So when you ask an #Aquarian to choose between friends, etc., it's like asking them to cut off an arm. I'm dead serious.
Their friends or peeps reflect how they bring what's at the margins more toward the center.
I studied w/ #Aquarius Toni Morrison in college. She was so brilliant, I thought I could hear her brilliance pinging when it was quiet!
Ms. Morrison is clear why she writes, like a true #Aquarian.
She seeks to re-create full, original lives for those Blk ppl, especially women, who are marginalized in canonical Am. Literature
Okay, I'm Muslim, and I understand that some Muslim women wear a niqab (face covering except for the eyes) with their hijab. But what is the point of that on a dating site? #Sigh
So far being on Muslima.com has been the most bizarre of online dating experiences. I've already fended off scammer with a very elaborate scam. She confessed to it when I busted her in straight-up lie. (She put up an obviously doctored passport.)
And more interest from folks, but bizarre set-ups, like 28 yo women looking for a man 30-80. When asked why they are interested in marrying an 80 yo, they respond, "Love has no age."
There's a lesson here, and it's not about Cawthorn's taste in fashion or having fun. It's more related to the saying, "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight." It seems Cawthorn showed up with an envelope opener instead.
The one thing I've observed in all my years on social media is when you get dragged, it's often less about your enemies, but more about the friends who decide to stop protecting you. Or who just outright turn on you and throw you to the wolves. I believe this has happened here.
Cawthorn somehow thought he was in the position to set his GOP colleagues on fire with his own self-righteousness. Cool, if you've been squeaky clean yourself. But that's not often the case.
That's an ancient idea, advanced in "Western" culture in the Myth of Er. You can think of it as more a symbiote, guiding you. We are forgetful vessels with the Daemon to remind us of who we are and our purpose.
Just the opposite for me, though. A tree can have hundreds of thousands of leaves, never in the same place, in its lifetime but we have a Cosmos that needs to keep one individual soul over many lifetimes? That's a pretty poor Cosmos. Best to surface new buds.
We serve a Cosmos that seeks to know itself, not for us to know ourselves. At least that's what makes sense to me.
