Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu meets with CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov
2/ Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.
3/ The meeting covered relevant issues of developing the Organisation's military component, and improving its force potential.
4/ Shoigu congratulated Tasmagambetov on his appointment, and expressed his hope that Imangali Tasmagambetov's experience would serve to further strengthening of CSTO's authority both on the international stage, and in each State that forms part of the Organisation.
5/ For his part, the CSTO Secretary General thanked Sergei Shoigu for the meeting. 'Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you, I understand that the time is currently worth its weight in gold', said I. Tasmagambetov.
6/ 💬 'I want to inform you that last week I met with the Chairman of the Collective Security Council, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko.
7/ First of all, we signed the plan of activities for implementing the decisions of the Collective Security Council: those adopted last November', emphasised the CSTO Secretary General.
