Just compare this to Austria. They have currently 5 teams with a coefficient over 10.

This makes it so much easier to have a shot in the qualifying stages. Except when you meet Vaduz, of course 😉

Still, things do not look so bad for next season. Basel qualifying will be crucial once again. Current prediction:

YB: UCL Group Stage (Pot 4)
FCSG: EL Group Stage (Pot 4)
Servette: UECL Group Stage (Pot 4)
Basel: UECL Group Stage (Pot 1)
Lugano: Out in QF

This would be epic!

The fate of Servette is on razors edge due to their low coefficient, but they are now predicted to make it to #UECL if the finish 2nd in the league, which would be awesome!

This is the most glaring gap between the top 2 and the rest from any top 15 nation by far. Serbia is currently ranked 11th in the UEFA country ranking due to FK Crvena zvezda and FK Partizan.

Another weird case is Scotland, where behind Celtic and Rangers there is just a black abyss.

Their 3rd power Aberdeen is only ranked 22th of all nations, with only 8.000 coefficient points.

But that 17th spot of Switzerland with FCZ isn't good at all, either. Especially now that we can send 5 teams to international glory, 2 teams performing well aren't enough.

Turkey has so many teams with a decent coefficient, and this season, it really pays off.

Even their 6th team has the better coefficient than the 3rd team of Switzerland. This is very telling.

Even more stunning is Belgium. They have 8 teams with a coefficient above 10, wow.

Brugge is their shining beacon right now, but they have so many teams that can do damage internationally. Switzerland needs to get there.
