Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud's claim of a 'humble background' is false. His father was a former CJI, his mother was an accomplished singer, and there's no evidence to support the story that “his mother washed clothes in public.”

Let's stick to the facts. #factcheck 🧵⬇️
Chandrachud Wada in Pune, the family home of CJI Chandrachud, has a notable history dating back to the Peshwa empire. Let's celebrate their legacy without spreading false information.
DY Chandrachud attended one of India's best schools, Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. Notable alumni include the Godrejs, Mahindras, Tatas, Bajajs, and Bhutto. Let's avoid spreading false information about his mother washing clothes in public.
DY Chandrachud was appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India during the Vajpayee government and has been a prominent figure in the Indian judiciary. Personal integrity is very important.
Very important.

Job Discrimination in Private Sector in India

Study reveals discrimination in recruitment process of private companies. Researchers conducted a field experiment sending same application as an upper caste Hindu, Dalit and Muslim candidate.

- Sukhadeo Thorat, Paul Attewell 🧵⬇️
“Our study collected job advertisements from English newspapers to see what happens when educated Indians from different castes and religious backgrounds apply for jobs in the urban private sector, encompassing multinational corporations as well as prominent Indian companies.”
“We submitted sets of 3 matched application letters to each job advertisement, with identical educational qualifications & experience. Study focuses on entry-level positions. Total of 4808 applications were made to 548 job advertisements over 66 weeks.”

Private companies taking any form of government benefits, such as cheap land, loans, tax holidays, subsidies, & other forms of assistance, should implement job reservations for SC/ ST/ OBC. @narendramodi @RahulGandhi @FollowCII @ficci_india @ASSOCHAM4India @phdcci @DICCIorg 🧵⬇️
To begin with, they should adhere to the US model by publishing annual diversity reports and taking steps to diversify their workforce. This practice ensures transparency in their hiring processes and creates equal opportunities for all individuals.
A diverse workforce can provide many benefits to a company, one of which is an increase in productivity. When a company hires employees with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, it can lead to more innovative and creative problem-solving.

Tamil Nadu CM @mkstalin has created a unique template called the #DravidianModel by blending growth with compassion and social justice.

Let's explore this revolutionary approach further and see how it works. I am giving one example. Thread 🧵⬇️

- When a girl child is born, the state makes a fixed deposit of Rs 50,000 for her, which she can withdraw when 18. In case the family has two girl children, each gets Rs 25,000. She gets immunisation and hospital treatment free of cost.
- She goes to the school on a government-provided bicycle. Sometimes she travels by the government bus and doesn’t need to buy a ticket.

Free bus travel for women helps them save money and travel safe
The money saved goes into savings or meeting additional expenses.

Brahmin clout at IITs is ending. At least 30% of the zonal toppers are Baniyas. The ‘Kota Coaching Factory’ is also a Baniya owned phenomenon. Change is welcome. #Sociology #IIT #Caste Thread 🧵⬇️
The IT revolution in its early years was led by the IIT graduates and postgraduates, and most of them were Brahmins. Sociologist Carol Upadhya’s study on the software professionals with 132 respondents in Bengaluru revealed that 48% per of them were Brahmins.
Now things are changing.
If we take the most valuable IT-based startups that took shape in the last few years, most of them have a strong north Indian Baniya engineers/managers footprints.

#Casteist_Collegium

Over 16 lakh Indians renounced citizenship since 2011, 2.5 lakh in 2022 alone.

Rich Indians turn secessionist, giving up citizenship. ‘Nationalism’ poor man’s burden. A thread 🧵 ⬇️⏬
US was the preferred destination in 2021. Over 78,000 Indians acquired the American citizenship. Other preferred destinations are also mostly western countries — Australia (23,533), Canada (21,597), UK (14,637), Italy (5,986) and so on.
The question is why are these people giving up the Indian passport at a time when we are entering the ‘Amrit Kaal’, the nomenclature Narendra Modi government is using to define the period between India’s 75th Independence Day and the 100th in 2047? Don’t they love India?
