Ideologically extreme MPs on the far-right of the Tory party, led by Bill Cash & Danny Kruger, have proposed a series of amendments to the Immigration Bill intended to reduce the legal avenues for asylum seekers & refugees who face being deported.
theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/m…
In a very crowded field of Brextremist Tory MPs, 82-year-old Bill Cash is described by Ken Clarke as THE most "Eurosceptic", who was the leader of the Eurosceptics during the Maastricht Rebellion of the early 1990s, reaching its height in 1993.
Hardline Eurosceptic Tory MPs refused to support the government of John Major in votes on the implementation of the Maastricht Treaty (Treaty on European Union) in British law. Major's party had a small majority, giving the relatively small number of extremists great influence.
The Eurosceptic rebellion had the support of the former PM & destroyer of society, Thatcher, & her grotesque sidekick, Norman Tebbit. Thatcher declared in a speech in the House of Lords that she "could never have signed that Treaty" & that it was "a recipe for national suicide".
In 1993, Cash founded & remains chair of the Eurosceptic European Foundation, created during the Maastricht Rebellion - Matthew Elliott, CEO of Vote Leave, is on the Advisory Board the founder of the Taxpayers’ Alliance, both of which are based in #55TuftonStreet.
A senior member of the crank ERG, in April 2019, Cash was in favour of a "No-deal" option as a negotiating position for Britain leaving the EU.

Annunziata Rees-Mogg was previously editor of the European Journal, a magazine owned by #TuftonStreet's European Foundation.
The European Foundation is part of a network of pro-Brexit anti-regulation organisations based out of offices in and around #TuftonStreet. The UK’s principal climate science denial campaign group, the Global Warming Policy Foundation, is also based at #55TuftonStreet offices.
Old Etonian Danny Kruger is the son of property developer Rayne Kruger and restaurateur & TV presenter Prue Leith. After university, he worked at the Centre for Policy Studies think tank, & then became a 'policy adviser' for the @Conservatives.
The Centre for Policy Studies is one of the more influential of the #TuftonStreet free-market extremist think tanks, founded by Keith Joseph & Margaret Thatcher in 1974, promoting an ideology of anti-welfare small government, deregulation, & economic liberalism.
In 2014, the Centre for Policy Studies launched CapX, a "news" site designed to promote “popular capitalism” & “defend free markets.” Its editor-in-chief is Robert Colvile, director of the CPS & previously Head of Comment at the Telegraph, & still a columnist there.
In 2005, Kruger became the chief leader writer of The Daily Telegraph, becoming David Cameron's chief speechwriter in 2006.

Kruger was a senior fellow at the Legatum Institute, which through Legatum Ventures Limited, along with Paul Marshall, invested £60 MILLION GB "News".
Kruger was Boris Johnson's political secretary between August & December 2019, when he became an MP. An evangelical Christian, in his maiden speech on 29 January 2020, he called for a return to Christian values, lamented that Britain had moved away from its 'Christian heritage'.
Imho, Kruger's "Christian values" sit very uncomfortably with his grotesque, hateful, & unethical line on immigration. In his maiden speech, he said “our liberties derive from the Christian idea of absolute human dignity. And today these ideas are losing their purchase.”
“So we are trying to find a new set of values to guide us, a new language of rights & wrongs, & a new idea of identity, based not on our universal inner value, or on our membership of a common culture, but on our particular differences.”

Now he's into deporting asylum seekers.
In May 2020 he tweeted extensively in support of the breach of lockdown by his "old friends" Dominic Cummings & Mary Wakefield, & in August 2020, he was photographed breaching the rules on the mandatory wearing of masks on public transport, claiming he "simply forgot".
#Liar🤥
In May 2021 Kruger wrote an essay entitled "Restoring Rights, Reclaiming Liberty" for inclusion in 'Common Sense: Conservative Thinking for a Post-Liberal Age' published by the ideologically extreme swivel-eyed Common Sense Group, an informal group of crank Tory MPs.
The Common Sense Group attacked the National Trust using the antisemitic conspiracy theory of 'cultural Marxism'. The book also featured another evangelical Christian, the little known Fiona Bruce MP, who has the fourth biggest outside earnings of any MP.

In June 2022, confused "Christian" Kruger supported Boris Johnson in the vote of confidence in his leadership, saying "I don't judge people's private morals, or rather I do but I oughtn't. I judge public conduct. And on that, I think we should be forgiving about minor slips".
While speaking during a debate on the overturning of #RoeVsWade, Kruger commented that he did not agree "that women have an absolute right to bodily autonomy" in relation to abortion as "in the case of abortion that right is qualified by the fact that another body is involved".
Given that Kruger is an ideologically extreme Christian Evangelist libertarian, nobody should be surprised that he, along with fellow anti-human rights extremist living fossil, Bill Cash, endorsed Suella Braverman during the July 2022 Tory Party leadership election.
In 2020, Cash gave a speech on 'the Persecution of Christians', in which he stated that "religious toleration is the best evidence of a civilised society".

I fucking hate how Cash & Kruger claim to be "Christians", while embracing some of the most un-Christian values imaginable.
'The ongoing suffering of those caught within Australia’s offshore regime is a catastrophe of conscious political creation, a warning from a nation damaged & demoralised by policies that may be briefly politically advantageous, but are cruel & ignoble.'

The ENTIRE UK press & media, along with every #TuftonStreet think tank, has seized on a survey showing 'falling satisfaction' with the #NHS.

They ALL selectively avoid foregrounding the FACT the public shows VERY STRONG SUPPORT for the principles underpinning OUR #NHS. ImageImageImage
The ghouls pushing for private health insurance ignore that the overwhelming majority of respondents agreed that the founding principles of OUR #NHS should ‘definitely’ or ‘probably’ apply - 9 in 10 backed the principle that OUR #NHS should be free of charge when you need it. Image
The ideologically extreme free market fundamentalist ghouls within & outside Government also ignored the FACT that MORE THAN 8 in 10 respondents supported the principles that OUR #NHS should be available to everyone & primarily be funded THROUGH TAXES - NOT private healthcare. Image

Emily Carver is an ideological extremist from Conservative Home, who works for the opaquely funded free-market #IEA, & represents the interests of fossil fuel corporations & rich libertarians who want to kill the #NHS & remove worker & environmental protections.

The @BBC gives their influential platform to the opaquely funded free-market corporate propagandists, the #IEA, which represents the interests of overseas billionaires, & pushes for lowering taxes, & abolishing the #NHS & worker, consumer & environmental protections.

Ideological extremist Emily Carver moved seamlessly from the #IEA to Conservative Home last year. It doesn't really matter - the global network representing billionaire-interests includes the billionaire-owned/funded press/media, Govt Ministers, & #TuftonStreet 'think tanks'. ImageImage

Online targeted political advertising is a problem - it leverages an information asymmetry between advertiser & recipient: “those holding the data know a lot about individuals, while people don’t know what the data practitioners know about them”.
journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…
Policymakers in the EU & US aim to decrease this asymmetry by requiring information transparency information alongside political advertisements, in the hope of activating & increasing citizens’ 'persuasion knowledge'.
However, the proposed regulations all present different directions with regard to the required content of transparency information. Consequently, not all proposed interventions will be (equally) effective.

The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act (2014) provides the most recent policy definition for antisocial behaviour: conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance.

But what SPECIFIC behaviours are 'antisocial'?

theconversation.com/what-is-antiso…
Legal definitions & government documentation often leave out a specific list of 'antisocial' behaviours

The current Govt proposal does not have a specific list of behaviours either, although Sunak referred to vandalism & broadly, behaviour that “disrupts people’s daily lives”.
It was first introduced into government policy in the 1990s by Blair’s New Labour, broadly defined as 'behaviour that causes nuisance, annoyance, alarm or distress'. But even the Blair government’s own policy documents had conflicting definitions.

🚨Rishi Sunak & Suella Braverman have been heckled & told to “go away” during a short walkabout in an Essex town centre.

The pair of ideological extremists started walking down Chelmsford high St just before 9am, joined by three local police officers.

independent.co.uk/news/uk/suella…
The street was quiet & they did not stop to chat to any of the small number of people out & about or go into any shops.

One woman shouted “allow migrants into our country” & “refugees should be allowed in Britain”.

The officer walking alongside Braverman turned his head towards the shouting woman but the Home Secretary did not react.

Shouting at Sunak & Braverman, the woman added: “Go away. We don’t want you here.”
