According to Bhagavad Gita should I help a suffering person or leave him thinking that he is paying for the sins he committed in his previous lives? #Karma#spirituality
This is a frequently asked question - how to reconcile Dharma (virtuous deeds) with Karma (result of past actions). In my opinion the one and only Book to read is the Gītā and the only spiritual practice is to follow the teachings imbedding therein. #Karma#spirituality
Since the question is about the Gītā let the Gītā speak for herself;
6:29. With the mind harmonized by Yoga one sees equality everywhere; one sees one’s Self as abiding in all beings and all beings in one’s own Self. #Karma#spirituality
Commentary of Rāmānuja
One whose mind is fixed in Yoga has complete equality of vision. An enlightened Yogi sees himself as abiding in all beings & all beings as abiding in his own Self; he sees a similarity between his own Jīva & that of every other being. #Karma#spirituality
5:25. The sages who are free from the pairs of opposites, whose minds are well directed and who are devoted to the welfare of all beings, become cleansed of all impurities and attain the bliss of the Brahman. #Karma#spirituality
Commentary of Rāmānuja
The sages (rishis) are those spiritual practitioners who are dedicated to the pursuit of Self-realisation. #Karma#spirituality
They are devoted to welfare of all — that is, they are as interested in welfare of all beings as in their own; those who attain this state are freed from all impurities which are hindrances to enlightenment, and they attain to the bliss of the Brahman. #Karma#spirituality
WHAT ATTITUDE SHOULD I CULTIVATE IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICE?
karmaṇaiva hi saṁsiddhim āsthitājanakādayaḥ| loka saṅgraham-evāpi saṁpaśyan kartum arhasi || 3:20 || #Karma#spirituality
3:20. Verily, by Karma Yoga alone did Janaka and others reach perfection. Indeed, you should act, bearing in mind the welfare of the world. #Karma#spirituality
Commentary of Rāmānuja
Even royal sages like Janaka and others, who were the foremost among the enlightened ones, preferred Karma Yoga as the means for attaining perfection. #Karma#spirituality
Thus, having first declared that for an aspirant for liberation who is unsuited for Jñāna Yoga, Karma Yoga alone should be practiced, it was next convincingly taught that, even for one who is qualified for Jñāna Yoga, Karma Yoga is still the preferred means. #Karma#spirituality
Now it is going to be taught that Karma Yoga must be performed in every way by anyone who is virtuous.
At least for the welfare of all beings (loka-saṅgraha), you should do work even if there is no need of it for yourself. #Karma#spirituality
The “why” of suffering is explained by KARMA, our response to suffering is described by our DHARMA & is grounded in “loka-sangraha” — the welter of all beings. Your duty is to ACT to alleviate and diminish the suffering of others not to judge their KARMA. #Karma#spirituality
So a gist, would be that what a person is suffering from is because of their Karma and if ending their suffering is within my capability, then it is my Dharma to do so #Karma#spirituality

One should never reveal certain things in front of others.
It’s great if you are loved and respected by all, but don’t show it off in front of others- doing so will lower your respect in the eyes of others

If you have to face insult at any point in your life, it’s best to keep it to yourself; telling that to everyone you know will make you feel insulted in front of others as well.

Tantra is an abstract religion, it doesn't have a clear definition. Different seekers define it differently, many not even consistent with each other. Tantra, though, is clearly recognized as being very different from the ancient Hindu Vedic tradition. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Before trying to delve into tantrism, it is important to understand that this is not a single coherent system. It is rather a tradition that gradually evolved from an accumulation of practices and rituals, in order to attain the grace of the divine. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The practitioner of tantra uses his own prana or divine energy in order to harness it to the universal prana, thereby attaining his goal. The goal in question could be either spiritual, material or both. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Tantra in Hinduism could be considered to be parallel to the Hindu Vedic tradition. Tantra contains written records of the Agama, which comes in four main parts, as follows: #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Jnana or metaphysical knowledge
Yoga or meditative practices
Kriya or ritual practices
Charya or ethical and religious principles of conduct #SanatanaDharma#Hinduism
Most of the staunch Hindu Vedic practitioners, however, consider the Tantras to be anti-Vedic in character and hence, altogether shun both the cult and the practitioners of the same. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The universe consists of a Mahabrahmanda, or grand Cosmos, and of numerous Brihatbrahmanda, or macrocosms evolved from it. As is said by the Nirvana Tantra, all which is in the first is in the second. #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
In the latter are heavenly bodies and beings, which are microcosms reflecting on a minor scale the greater worlds which evolve them. "As above, so below." This mystical maxim of the West is stated in the Vishvasara Tantra as follows: #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
