Started treatment for toxoplasmosis 3 days ago. serious herx, suggesting major die-offs (fingers crossed). The odd (and frightening) part is the feeling of "being able to feel" optic nerve/pre-frontal cortex and the formications/pressure/sensations tripled from baseline. 1/n
This was something that really started for me (or at least got a lot worse) after the 2nd covid vaccine. Toxoplasmosis is known to affect the brain and eyes and is a major risk in immunocompromised. I can tell something is going on in there. 2/n
Sure wish I had an infectious disease specialist in my pocket! I am on the Buhner protocol stephenharrodbuhner.com/wp-content/upl… as the western medical approach was way to toxic for my comfort. 3/n
It is recommended to be on this mix of Sophora flavescens, Astralagus, Skullcap, Artemesian, Veronia for 21 days and then to take a few days break and then do another 21 days. 4/n
I did an additional pathogen test from Vibrant Wellness to assess Toxo infection but given the abnormal DOPAC (10x upper limit) - it seemed clear that a pathogen was involved. 5/n
Anything that affects vision is scary and Toxo can actually cause blindness when untreated. Not worried worried, but still...a bit worried. 6/n
eyewiki.aao.org/Toxoplasmosis
I also want to mention that I have been assuming a cause of some of my symptoms that is probably not correct. Eye symptoms began around time of 2nd vaccine but even if vaccine was the trigger it is the underlying Toxo that is the issue 7/n
I cancelled an opthamology appt. about 8 months ago as getting to big city was too much for me. I knew I should have followed up on the eye pain and sensations but put it down to #MECFS and #Migraine. Kicking myself. 8/n
I am thinking that the vaccine reactivated the latent infection which I could have had for decades or it could have been 2013 (raising feral kittens in Panama year). In immunocompromised folks this Toxo reactivation can cause a form of toxo that is more ocular related. The latin… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
So I am kinda hoping this is a toxo reactivation and treating it will actually give me a major baseline increase. I think this kind of situation is very common in #MECFS and is one reason why @remissionbiome wants to pathogen test everyone who does the protocol right off the bat.

The GOOD news is that there is a cohort that does get improvement over time (#LongCovid).
The BAD news is that there is a cohort that does not get improvement over time (#Longcovid + #MECFS ).

"Hypophosphatemia was found in 318 one third of patients at baseline and interestingly persisted only in the ME/CFS cohort. The etiology 319 of hypophosphatemia is complex and potential causes are mitochondrial dysfunction with depletion of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), insulin… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
This has been a consistent result for me for nearly a decade. Image

Separation between #LongCovid w/#MECFS and #LongCovid w/PCS-ME/CFS = persisting symptom severity/disability up to 20mo, PCS =overall improvement.

This has been a great morning! I have heard from people who started using BPC-157 and are finding it really helpful and also that switching from CoQ10 to MitoQ @Mito_Q has been great for energy. Nothing like knowing I have helped. Thanks for your trust!

@remissionbiome There seems to be some confusion about people thinking that they can use the #remissionbiome protocol without the antibiotics to re-set the microbiome. This will not work. 1/n
The entire program is designed around the antibiotics and the specific strains are picked for gut-brain axis metabolites. It is NOT a wellness plan for #MECFS #LongCovid. 2/n
It is not a probiotic plan for general health. It is not a gut re-set program. If you use it without the antibiotics it is going to waste your money and time. The gut preparation part is ok to use that but is the only part that does not reply on antibiotics. 3/n

This is what my baseline increase in #MECFS 'looked' like. After my 2019 @remissionbiome event I increased my function up to 40-50%. I was still sick, but w/ pacing+treatment I was living again.
This🧵shows my recovery which was interrupted by vax injury gofundme.com/f/Remissionbio…twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
@remissionbiome 5 months after my remission event I was walking outside, doing pool exercises and even doing time on the treadmill. I had been bedridden in a dark room 24/7 for 2 years before this. It really felt like some wild miracle had happened. 2/n
@remissionbiome 8 months after my remission event and baseline increase I went to Italy. I had been bedridden in a dark room 24/7 for 2 years prior to this. I never thought I would experience ANYTHING again and then there I was. 3/n

Pathogens! Pathogens! @remissionbiome got our results from @CyrexLabs for the Array 12 "Pathogen" profile.
Based on these results, we are "a go" from a pathogen risk standpoint. No nasties like C. diff that could explode during antibiotics. Results below are for @chydorina 1/n Image
"Pathogens have the capacity to induced autoimmune reactivity. Chronic exposure to a pathogen and/or its biotoxins can contribute to the autoimmune process by upregulating inflammatory immune chemicals or by cross-reactivity between the pathogen and human tissues." 2/n
"Entry of many pathogens is through the gastrointestinal tract, however, once they thrive within the body, they can have far-reaching effects."
