4/ This narrative is designed to win the conservative vote, push down criticism of the Budget (cunning bastard, remember?) and also, possibly, smooth the pathway for changes to come.

And I would be far more comfortable if Britton and Ryman (and bears, oh my) hadnt been in there.

5/ Now the changes are going to be imminent, because there’s a review. That’s great. Except it’s not finished. And yes, we know you said you’d fix things as you went along. But unless you codesign it with us, there is a real possibility that you’re going to fuck up our funding.

7/ But Shorten, and Labor, are all about the workers. Not the bloated plutocrats, like the LNP, but the unions. And you can guarantee that is who has his ear.

Shorten isn’t wearing the same vest we do, we folk who have skin in the game. No politician is - unless disabled.

8/ @SenatorJordon is the politician I’ve worked most closely with the past and that’s not because I vote Green. I vote below the line and with whoever makes sense, often Labor, often Greens, sometimes others. It’s because Jordon is from my community & he’s wearing that last vest.

9/ What do I think they’re going to do? I think they’re going to implement something they’ve been planning for a long time, under the guise of fraud detection. Something like #robodebt. And this worries me a lot, as it should you. @JeremyPoxon @maximumwelfare @mariehjohnson

11/ Let’s not forget that many of the bureaucrats who still work within those systems are the same people, with the same connections, the same agendas. The same vested interests.

Let’s not forget that these are people wearing a different kind of vest altogether.

12/ I want bad providers to go to jail. But I also want bad workers to go to jail and to be held accountable for abuse and exploitation, and for the voices of people with disability to be at the centre of EVERYTHING in the ndis. This is about choice and control,

13/ That’s what the fabric of our vests is made of, choice & control. And every time it is eroded, every time power is taken from us, that vest becomes a little less likely to save our lives. This is about our support. And the NDIS shouldn’t be a war zone or like a sinking ship.

14/ @billshortenmp, now is the time for full transparency about this. And if you don’t know, you should be finding out in a hurry. Because a lot of disabled people, families & workers believe in you. Thats one very good personal reason to remember who voted y’all in. @AlboMP too.
