Universities protect #freespeech and open debate better than most other parts of society. Centers for the study of democracy, debate, the #FirstAmendment, conflict and dispute resolution, etc., exist on thousands of campuses. 4/5
This kind of column is more an exercise in intellectual fandom based on rooting for the alleged on-campus "team" (or preferred figures and groups) that writers identify with, not a serious assessment of free speech or #academicfreedom in #highered. 5/5
