One of the keys to #patientled research movement and the @eperlste n=1 to n + treatment model is that patients provide not just essential knowledge about their disease but that they are the ones that will take the brunt of the risk in finding a cure. 1/n …mcoyneakacoyneoftherealm.substack.com/p/should-autho…
at @remissionbiome we are proud to be PhD-patients and both @tessfalor and I think of ourselves as 'medical researchers' foremost now instead of a 'space physicist' and a 'systems ecologist'. 2/n
Our backgrounds ARE important but our personal experience with #MECFS and our experience of ACTUAL remission events is much more important to where we are going with the protocol. 3/n

I believe this is among the most important research currently going on in the world for treatment and recovery in chronic illness like #MECFS. What was different b/w 2019 when the @remissionbiome happened and 2023 when it did not. Two things: 1. major decline in Mito function as… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
I am taking this angle seriously and am using herbal antivirals following the general protocol of Buhner (in his book Herbal Antivirals). I will also be introducing a hard hitting custom mushroom tincture soon as well. 2/n
When I had my remission event in 2019 (which eventually led to @remissionbiome) I was severe but the antibiotic/probiotic combination triggered an event and increased my baseline. I think there is a case to be made for high LPS throwing a monkey wrench into the works 3/n
Did you have allergies as a kid? Have you ever broken out in hives? There is close to a 100% chance that if you have #LongCovid you have MAST CELL ACTIVATION. Treat it. You dont need a specialist or a GP to start. You dont need tests. Just treat it. If symptoms improve. Boom.
Did you know that EXERTION is a mast cell trigger? If you are in a PEM cycle of crashes and recoveries you are constantly creating mast cell activation. If you dont identify your mast cell triggers you cannot effectively treat #LongCovid. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
I am being driven bonkers by people who dont think they have mast cell issues when it is clear that they have mast cell issues and almost everyone if not everyone with #longCovid and #MECFS has mast cell issues. Its what underlies brain fog and neuroinflammation.

Dx and tx guide for MCAS for clinicians. Search my page "@chydorina MCAS". watch the remissionbiome videos on MCAS @remissionbiomevids. I cannot stress how KEY this is. Nothing will help until this is managed.
If you are not treating MAST CELL ACTIVATION - you will probably continue to decline. Mast cell activation is PART of #LongCovid. Its part of #MECFS - its what gives you brain fog and neuroinflammation (in addition to other things, but its a HUGE part).
