I'm voting for the NDP in Alberta this election so that our granddaughters do not have to fight the fights of our grandmothers...for the right to use their own name, to publish books, to paint a painting under their own name and be able to earn a living selling their work 1/9

So they don't have to cross their legs to try and hold back labour while someone produces a credit card to pay the doctor like my mother had to do for the first 3 pregnancies 2/9

So that our earth is protected from greed that wants to mine our mountains for coal...the same coal that caused so many health problems for generations before us, and pollutes our water and soil, detrimental to humans but also to wildlife. 4/9
So that we build healthy societies and cities where people can actually thrive, not living on streets in poverty, not working at low-paying jobs that do not pay the rent never mind feed the kids. I want a society that gets to the root of all evil, which is poverty 5/9
and we raise people up, not vilify them for addictions.

So that I can chose my religious beliefs or no beliefs if I wish and not have it forced on me by anyone, especially NOT my government. I don't want to live in a theocracy and 7/9
don't want the next generations to have to fight to change that because I was too lazy to do my research and vote for #progress.
