ASG SV Raju: On medical grounds, let him be examined by AIIMS. Because the records of other hospitals - it can be fudged. Independent examination is necessary. He was the health minister... medical records of Delhi hospital cannot be correct.
ASG Raju reads from the affidavit of ED, states that the petitioner was the Minister of Health and his photograph was on all Delhi hospital. He states that Jain was also the jail minister. The same causes apprehension to ED that he may be misusing his position.
ASG Raju further states that his previous medical reports have been bogus.
ASG: Moment we say that let him be examined by AIIMS he withdraws his requests. These reports should not be taken with a pinch of salt but a huge amount of salt.
ASG Raju: He may have a genuine case, I will concede in that case. But history is that he feigns illness, gets fake reports, the moment we want independent evaluation- he withdraws...
Singhvi: He has cited LNGP, not GB Pant. LNGP is a mandatory referral hospital for Tihar. Today's reports cannot be refused because of reports from 2022. Where will he run? He will be back in jail in 1-2 months.
