🧵Strap in your bindings, #crypto community! We're about to carve fresh tracks into a thorough exploration of the transformative #FlareNetworks. If you believed you've seen all the trails in crypto, time for a double take 🤙
🚨⚠️ Warning: This tweet thread contains high doses of #crypto innovation and disruptive potential. Side effects may include an irresistible urge to ape into $FLR. Proceed with caution and always #DYOR. Let's continue... #FLR#DeFi 🚀🌕
The Flare Network introduces F-assets, a game-changer in the crypto world. F-assets are a truly trustless representation of other cryptocurrencies on the Flare Network, bringing smart contract functionality to coins like $BTC and $XRP. #FLR#Fassets
Here's where it gets interesting: To mint F-assets, there's a lock-up requirement for FLR tokens. Specifically, you need to lock up 2.5x the value of the wrapped token in FLR. This creates a unique demand for $FLR. #FLR#Fassets
Let's do some math on the potential value of $FLR if #Fassets wrap even 10% of the entire crypto market. Given that the total current crypto market cap is $1.2 trillion, (In a bear market I may add) let's do some math. #FLR#Fassets#DeFi
If Flare Networks were to wrap 10% of this, that would be $120 billion worth of crypto currencies #Wrapped. Remember, for each F-asset, you must lock up 2.5x its value in FLR. #FLR#Fassets#DeFi
So, if $120 billion worth of F-assets were minted, that would require $300 billion worth of FLR to be locked up. This is a significant demand driver for the $FLR token. #FLR#Fassets#DeFi
To understand how massive this is: Currently FLR has a circulating supply of about 16 billion tokens, & a current circulating market cap of $50m~
Even if we estimate 50b #FLR circulating by next bull market
The minimum potential value per FLR token MUST be $6 per $FLR
That means all 50b FLR are Locked & Wrapped. Any lower than $6 & FLR wouldn't have enough value to wrap 10% of the crypto market
This also assumes all 50b $FLR Tokens will be used in the F-Asset system (Which most likely wont happen -- Just means price should be higher)
In 2022 Defi Bridges accounted for $25b & it's expected to grow to $200b by 2030
HOWEVER
#Flare is the first entirely #Trustless bridge; this is revolutionary -- enabling those who would have but haven't used bridges previously due to security concerns
Ultimately Flare Networks wasn't just about creating another token. The lock-up requirement gives $FLR an actual use case that will drive demand. This is something most cryptocurrencies can't claim. #FLR#Fassets#DeFi
📣 Did you know that Delegation / FTSO rewards COULD be paid through Flare API portal fees instead of token inflation? Making the tokenomics deflationary once data demand is sufficient
Yet another way Flare is innovating in the crypto space to enable valuable tokenonics #FLR
As we look to the future, the potential for Flare Networks is immense. With a unique approach to tokenomics and a clear use case, $FLR is set to make waves in the crypto world. Stay tuned for more updates! #FLR#Fassets#DeFi 🚀🌕
Remember, always do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making investment decisions. #DYOR#CryptoInvesting
Remember, this is just a hypothetical scenario and actual results will depend on a variety of real-world factors. #FLR
These two things will have a significant effect on outcome:
The DTCC and R3 partnership brings the potential for Tokenized Derivatives on the XRPL, powered by $FLR, to revolutionize the industry with increased accessibility, liquidity, efficiency, transparency, and improved security while reducing counterparty risk opencompassion.io/blog/post/2168…
R3 received 1b~ $XRP in 2019 & was eligible for the #FLR token snapshot (2020) / Airdrop (2023)
R3 bought the #XRP from Ripple with the terms they would develop a new use case for the XRPL -- Might be Tokenized Derivatives settled using $FLR as collateral for smart contracts.
This is assuming R3 didn't sell the XRP they had the option to buy & it's assuming the settlement required R3 to uphold their end of the deal -- "Develop a use for XRP."
