In 1928, the USSR announced a policy of collectivization. Private farms were transferred to the collective farm of state ownership. People were paid for their work with natural products, which weren’t enough to feed their families.

In June, my parents and I were in a terrible car accident. I had a broken cervical spine, a dislocation of a vertebra and a ruptured intervertebral disc. My mother had two broken legs, an arm, a hand, a nose, and she had a concussion. Luckily my dad wasn't hurt.
In July, I underwent a surgical operation, during which titanium structures were installed in front and behind the broken vertebra. My mother also had surgery on her leg and arm.
