They also added liquidity onto Minswap with 480K and 40% remaining supply.

Whales used bots to get their txns in faster to sell it for higher.

Cardano rewards stakeholders for securing the protocol.

You can 'pool' resources, which a staking pool operator runs.

The rewards-sharing scheme aims to bring a state where the stake is decentralized and distributed to favorable honest actors.

The current RSS puts a cap on max reward for a pool for decentralization and incentivizes operators (SPOs) to pledge their Ada.

As higher Pledged SPOs are more aligned with the system's welfare, pledge is preferable.

Basics First:

Blockchains are ledgers, they keep a record of things like coins, #NFTs, etc.

Blockchain architecture differs on the rules they use to keep a record.

A UTXO model keeps a record of transactions while an account based keeps a record of the balance in accounts.
Bitcoin's UTXO

#BTC innovated a unique accounting model which records txns.

Txns have inputs and outputs,

Input is funds that can be used to spend, while output represents state after txns.

The fund available to spend is called Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO)
