If you’re an American, and your not tracking on #Ukraine, now is the time to start. This is just not another foreign policy blip. This is potentially bigger & more deadly than anything we’ve seen since WW2. This could have generational consequences globally. This will impact you.
As someone who’s seen my share of war, there are two things that keep me up most about #Ukraine: nukes & kids. They’re the 2 elements that are most devastating & devastated. And most often forgotten about. When bombs start dropping, think about the nukes. Think about the kids.🇺🇦

This is typical Bernie Sanders. It’s what he did year after year as Chairman of the Senate Vets Committee. He’s an ideologue that constantly overreaches. He ends up blowing up the whole deal, rather than recognizing the political reality needed to compromise and get things done…
Sanders is the master of “omnibus” bills that never pass. It was a chronic problem when he was Chair of the Senate Vets Committee. It’s why McCain was able to break him in 2014. And it’s why his record of passing things as SVAC Chair was so poor: nytimes.com/2016/02/07/us/…
Sanders sometimes presented good and noble ideas. But they were often totally unrealistic in an environment where Republicans get a vote. Too often, held out on ideology, and veterans paid the price for the legislative logjams. The examples are many: militarytimes.com/news/2016/02/1…

That speech by Marsha Blackburn was one of the most manipulative & dangerous I’ve ever heard. Definitely of this week so far. Our police & military don’t belong to ANY party. They serve (and represent) all Americans. Any other message is total politicization of the highest level.
