You don’t have to love every other culture, nor others yours. You can rail against others if you choose, though it’s rarely helpful. What matters is we grow through understanding each other’s ways. We’re free to choose what we value most from the whole mosaic.

Multiculturalism is foundational. Our Constitution, Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and our very culture are built on a weave of languages, faiths, families, and traditions — all held together by secular, centrist, good governance under the rule of law.
