This is such a godawful take. Please stop this shit. He's 33 goddamn years old and married with a kid. Stop framing adult white maleness as a perpetual internship in ethics and decency.
The insatiable need of media to treat white men in their late 20s/30s/early-40s(!!!) as Dougie Howsers in need of guidance blows my goddamn mind.

It irritates me to no end. These are not children. These are grown ass adults.

Trayvon Martin was a child. He didn't get to grow up.
Mark Zuckerberg has had a million chances to get his shit together. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he did it. He just didn't give a shit about the consequences. Everything in his experience said that the rules did not apply to him, so he didn't give a shit.
How many public apologies are we at, now? Four? Five? How many times has Facebook received backlash over privacy issues, and Zuckerberg trotted his privileged ass out on the stage to do a dog-and-pony show about caring for consumers privacy needs?
This guy grew up wanting nothing, attended the best private schools, developed a sense of entitlement the size of Texas, and we're supposed to admire his, uh, "growing up" moment? At 33 years old? With a spouse and kids?

No. Hell no. HELL. NO.
It's like all these grown-ass white men in power are forgiven their sins for perpetually living like Lost Boys in Neverland, and it becomes our hell in cleaning up after them.

Goddamn, this pisses me off. What I wouldn't give for a national media that does its damn job.
