Before leading 0xb1, I spent years in the Proof of Stake realm creating yield optimization strategies. In 2019, I founded a company called KeyFi that wrote MPC staking software and strategies.

One of the major contributing factors to this hole was the practice of cash based accounting for interest owed to customers from 2018 till at least mid 2021.

In short, let’s say #Bitcoin was $5000 one week and the company owed .1 BTC interest. They would put a $500 liability on the books that week, but not actually buy the coins at the time! By the time BTC was $50k 2 years later, the true liability was 10x the recorded amount!

We previously managed the funds held in the 0xb1 address in 2020 till May 2021, but have since escaped that relationship & no longer have any association with those funds or the organization(s) from whence they came. The team behind this Twitter has always remained the same.
