4 human rights defenders in #Turkey, incl both the former Chair & Director of @aforgutu, have been convicted of crimes they didn’t commit.

It’s over 4yrs since the first arrest & we expect a decision on the final stage of their appeal soon.

Here's what's happened so far 👇 1. Taner Kılıç, a human rights defender and then Chair of Amnesty International Turkey, is arrested on false charges of being part of a terrorist organisation and placed in pre-trial detention.

In #Turkey, you can get arrested for: None of these are crimes: they are human rights that belong to every person.

But in #Turkey, human rights are under attack and people are being arrested for these basic rights.

#Pride month should be about celebrating the #LGBTQ+ community and highlighting the fight for equality & freedom around the world 🌈🌍 But, disappointingly, we’ve seen backlash against those campaigning for the rights of the #Trans community here in the UK, especially at work 🏳️‍⚧️
