The Poles were first to appease Hitler, not the Russians.

In 1934, Nazi Germany and Poland signed the German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact in the First European deal with Hitlers Germany.

On January 26, 1934, the Polish Ambassador Józef Lipski and German Foreign Minister Konstantin von Neurath signed the "Declaration on the Non-Use of Force Between Germany and Poland" in Berlin. It had a 10 year term. Both sides commited to resolve all disputes peacefully and "renounce aggression against each other"

Again, This is the first non aggression pact any European state signs with Nazi Germany, exactly one year after Hitler became Chancellor, and literally years before the Soviets signed a similar deal. Poland, led by Marshal Józef Piłsudski, sought to selfishly secure its western border while remaining hostile to the Soviet Union. The pact was to neutralise Germany as an immediate threat but it allows Hitler to focus on rearmament without any worry on his eastern flank.
Whays less know is that a flourishing Trade agreement follows quickly.

Also an inconvienitn reminder, Hitler sends "personal condolences" and a wreath to Piłsudski’s funeral in May 1935, its a rare public gesture of affection from the Nazi Dictator. He also This was the only time that Fuhrer attended a mass in Berlin dedicated to Pudsulski, one of the only times as a leader of the Third Reich and probably one of the last times when he was in a church.

In Bryansk, Russia

Russian special forces tracked ambushed and wiped out a team of western saboteurs working under the Ukrainian flag who infiltrated the Border.
