@billybragg 1/ Ever wonder where the '48% of all trans youths attempts suicide' stat comes from?

It comes from a lottery-funded project set-up by the LGBT charity PACE, and the research was carried out by LGBT charity PACE.

The lead academic was a Dr Nuno Nodin from the Royal Holloway... @billybragg 2/ ..University of London. Various issues relevant to the LGBT community were investigated, with part of the survey asking transgender people about their history of suicidal thoughts / attempts.

The study was conducted by questionnaire using a non-probability sampling...
