Important thread. The degree to which we don’t widely acknowledge that pregnancy and birth *permanently change bodies*—sometimes in disabling ways—is maddening. Just one of the reasons the adoption-as-an-alternative-to-abortion thing is bullshit.

Pregnancy and birth are horrific things to put someone through if they’re not 100% down. Whether anyone wants the resulting kid is irrelevant to that.

Today for my birthday I stumbled upon a thread that explains huge portions of my life that I’d never considered might be related to my ADHD. Happy useful framework day to me! Hoarding words & mementoes out of fear: Journaling, recording funny quotes f/ friends, tons of photos, saving IM logs & copies of letters I send, saving papers & actual junk, constant social media & compulsively reviewing “on this day.” I’m the archivist of every friend group.
