India’s rapidly growing energy sector takes a historic step into the future with the landmark amendments to Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act 1948 being successfully passed in Rajya Sabha today.

The epochal amendments proposed will further strengthen and propel India’s energy sector under the leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, and ensure policy stability, international arbitration, extended lease periods etc.

Since petroleum (crude oil/ natural gas) is found in the pore spaces of subsurface rocks and is extracted by drilling delinking of terms like ‘mine’ ‘quarried’ or ‘excavated’ as referred to in the current Act will remove ambiguity and introduce Ease of Doing Business into the sector which is more technologically driven.

A senior Advocate, like some other colleagues from his party, desperately tries to create a false narrative. Facts are otherwise. PMAY(Urban) was launched in June 2015. The demand assessed by state govts was initially at 1 crore houses & was subsequently revised to 1.22 crore. 62 lakh houses are completed & delivered. Balance are at various stages of construction will be completed soon. Fact is that 40 lakh houses were sanctioned in just the last two years alone. On average a house takes 18-24 months to complete.

Policy reforms focused on scaling up E&P by generating geological data, award of exploration blocks, ease of doing business & bringing back major E&P companies as well as encouraging new E&P companies set rolling since 2016.

Taking forward PM Sh @narendramodi Ji’s vision for the development of North East Region & to energize the Socio-Economic Progress of NER, I am very happy to announce that the capacity of Digboi Refinery of @IndianOilcl will be augmented from 0.65 to 1.0 MMTPA. @himantabiswa This was a long pending demand of the people & govt of Assam. Had also discussed it at length with Assam CM Sh @himantabiswa Ji during my visit to Guwahati in Feb 2022 for the North East Zonal Conference for #PMGatiShakti addressed by PM Modi Ji.

Lies succeed in travelling halfway round the world before the truth is able to get up & tie its shoelaces. Recently AAP leader Atishi Ji absurdly suggested that Centre & its agencies were on the verge of bulldozing temples! I suggest the MLA educate herself. The Religious Committee which takes decisions on such matters is under Delhi Govt. Land owning agencies only determine if govt land is being encroached upon. Even that is not final- there are systemic mechanisms in place.

PM @narendramodi Ji is truly a 'Yugpurush' not been constrained by the challenges around him but has dared to define this age & shape the destiny of our nation for the best. He is a true Rakshak, determined to ensure Surakshit Bharat in every way against terrorism & aggression. His Stithpragya calm, courage & commitment and determined action in the face of constant carping by naysayers has enabled India to come out of the agni pariksha posed by the vicious pandemic.

As a child of parents who suffered during India’s #Partition1947, I am extremely grateful to PM @narendramodi Ji for declaring August 14 as #PartitionHorrorsRemembranceDay. This will forever be a reminder of the human misery caused by wrong policies of the then Govt. My father escaped murderous mobs by the skin of his teeth when he took the last Frontier Mail to India with nothing but the clothes he was wearing.

Both my parents then suffered & struggled for years. I grew up listening to their experiences.

A distinguished member of the fourth estate whom I considered a friend has clearly let his bias against PM Modi get the better of him.

His lack of knowledge & homework clearly showed when he passed a lazy remark about the Smart City Mission on a Sunday afternoon. Some research would have shown the magnitude, speed & impact of various smart city projects.

Let me sift fact from fiction for him.

More than 6000 projects worth nearly ₹1,81,000 cr have already been tendered under the mission.

PMAY-Urban, PM Modi Ji’s visionary mission to provide Housing For All by 2022 is taking concrete shape & transforming lives. PM @narendramodi Ji reviewed the Lighthouse projects across the country via drones. Work is in progress on 6 lighthouse projects. The Lighthouse projects which use cutting edge innovative construction technologies to speed up large construction projects while being more resilient were launched by PM on 1 Jan 2021 to use new technologies to complete housing projects faster than traditional methods.

Little introspection, my friends.

Pt Nehru lived in the modest Teen Murti Bhawan. It is now a memorial.

Smt Indira Gandhi lived in 1 Safdarjung Road, which is now a memorial.

Sh Rajiv Gandhi & PM’s after him occupied 7 Race Course (now 7 Lok Kalyan Marg) during their tenure. It was never called Gandhi Villa or Manmohan Mahal or by the name of any other incumbent PM.

A house where the country’s PM lives is an institutional structure. It belongs to the people of India & not to an individual.

It symbolises perpetuity & dignity of office.

The entire central vista project consists of the New Parliament Building, 10 buildings for various offices, Central Vista Avenue & other institutional infrastructural projects.

Except for Central Vista Avenue & Parliament Building, other projects are yet to be taken up. Currently, 2800 workers are toiling to ensure that Central Vista Avenue is ready for Republic Day 2022 & new parliament building for winter session 2022 - the 75th year of India’s Independence. Those weaving a web of deceit are doing great disservice to their own reputation.

Do not believe in fake photos & canards about ongoing work at Central Vista Avenue. No Jamun trees have been removed. Only few trees will be transplanted in entire project. Overall green cover will increase. Defining elements of built heritage like lamp posts etc will be restored The transformed Central Vista will be a world class public space in the heart of national capital. The project is progressing on schedule. With more public space, landscaping & modern amenities, it will eventually be something every Indian will be proud of.

Congress’s discourse on Central Vista is bizarre.
Cost of Central Vista is about ₹20,000 crore, over several years.

GoI has allocated nearly twice that amount for vaccination! India’s healthcare budget for just this year was over ₹3 lakh crore. We know our priorities. There are hundreds of projects being executed by various depts. Governance hasn’t come to a standstill, unlike the Congress’s times of policy paralysis.

Central Vista is just another ongoing project. It’s only the Congress that’s obsessed about it, nobody else.

A litany of lies is one of the many tools of misinformation being used to discredit the #FarmLaws & derail the negotiations by vested interest groups. 

That these laws were not debated & 'rushed through' top the list of such canards.

#IndiaAgainstPropaganda Here are the facts. Economic Survey 2021 mentions that 15 committees formed between 2001-2020 by different govts deliberated the farm reforms. Unlike the fake narrative the laws were clearly not 'rushed.' Many of those now vitiating the narrative have supported these for decades.

Govt led by PM Sh @narendramodi ji has taken effective steps to strengthen the economy under #AatmanirbharBharat Abhiyan. #Budget2021 announced by FM @nsitharaman Ji is a budget of New & Self Reliant India which gives further boost to Indian industry & manufacturing sector. Policies to make it easy for foreign investors to invest in India's infrastructure projects have been proposed in #Budget2021. Customs duty has been reduced on several inputs and raw materials to push manufacturing in India.

The govt led by PM Sh @narendramodi Ji has proposed to work towards raising the share of public transport in urban areas through expansion of metro rail network & augment of city bus service under #AatmaNirbharBharatKaBudget2021. A new scheme will be launched at a cost of ₹18,000 cr to support augmentation of public bus transport services. It will facilitate deployment of innovative PPP models to enable private sector players to finance, acquire, operate & maintain over 20,000 buses.

Classic case of a lazy opposition!

If Sh @digvijaya_28 had done some homework & checked his facts, he would have discovered that the proposal for the New Parliament Building had been around even when his party was in power. The same sentiment of the then Hon'ble Lok Sabha Speaker Smt Meira Kumar Ji was conveyed by her OSD in 2012 when he emphasised this demand in a letter to the then Secretary, Urban Development.

In order to promote Agri-produce export, GoI has launched Krishi Udan Scheme, which provides waiver of landing & parking charges by AAI for Indian freighters & P2C (Passenger to Cargo aircraft). 

@MSBADAL @PIB_India @BJP4Punjab @MoCA_GoI @rajchengappa The concession is available only if Agri-produce accounts for over 50% percent of total chargeable weight of cargo carried. Amritsar Sahib, Adampur, Bathinda, Pathankot, Chandigarh & Ludhiana airports are included in the Scheme.

പൊതു മേഖലയും സ്വകാര്യ മേഖലയും കൂടിയുള്ള പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിൽ (Public Private Partnership) ഉള്ള വിമാനത്താവള വികസന സംരംഭങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കേരളം വളരെ മുന്നിലാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ആദ്യത്ത PPP അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള എയർ പോർട്ട് CIAL കൊച്ചിയിലാണ് ഉയർന്നു വന്നത്. വർഷം1.3 കോടി passenger capacity ഉള്ള CIAL, 2019- 20 വർഷം COVID-19 നു മുമ്പുള്ള കാലയളവു കണക്കിൽ എടുത്താൽ 96.2 ലക്ഷം യാത്രക്കാരെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്ത് വളരെ വിജയകരമായ രീതിയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വരുന്നു.

Kerala is the pioneer as far as airports under Public Private Partnership are concerned. First PPP airport in India came up in Kochi in Kerala. It is a successfully run airport with a capacity of 13 Million Passengers Per Annum & was handling 9.62 MPPA in 2019-20 before COVID19. Another very successful example of PPP mode is Kannur, also situated in Kerala. In fact, it was during the UDF regime in Kerala that the foundation for Kochi airport was laid in 1994 & the airport was inaugurated in 1999 during LDF regime.

Parallel narratives can be no match for facts.

A campaign has been launched against the decision to privatise the Thiruvananthapuram airport.

Here are the facts. GoI granted "In principle" approval on 08.11.2018 for leasing out the operations, management & development of six (06) AAI Airports viz Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati & Thiruvananthapuram Airports through PPP mode.
