Recently, we summarized several reviews about the association between obesity & poor #COVID_19 outcomes . There are several theories & models, such as insulin resistance, or cardiometabolic reserve, inflammation or other comorbidities, but mystery remains. Now two case reports from Italy of #COVID19 autopsies finds clear signs of fat embolism within lung tissue, which could go a long way to explaining several unique features (radiographic, coagulopathic, neurologic) found in severe cases of #COVID19. nature.com/articles/s4136…
