Regarding installation of barbed wire fencing to prevent #Rohingya#refugees from leaving their camps, I found the comment by @KellyTClements Deputy High Commissioner of UN Refugee Agency, particularly disturbing. medium.com/@shafiur/caged…
"We’ll try to see how it can be implemented in a way that doesn’t adversely affect the refugee community nor the host". Sounds like there was no objection, yet this is such a backwards and damaging move for the well being and rights of #Rohingya#refugees.
Tragically Omar was badly let down when clinics in the camp said they couldn't do anything to help him. This seems to be typical of treatment for the #Rohingya for anything out of the ordinary that would require specialist treatment. #HelpOmarFaisal soundcloud.com/jamila-hanan/r…
This is Omar Faisal with his dad who has never stopped fighting for him. For 6 years they tried to get him treatment for a condition that could have been easily treated as a baby. If left untreated he will go blind. #HelpOmarFaisal hands4rohingya.org/help-omar-fais…

Ahmad Algohbary has brought us all hope by saving some of #Yemen's severely malnourished children. Now he has a struggle of his own: he is fighting to save his eyesight. Let's show him now how much we care and help him get through this difficult time. totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/ahmad
Update 19th Feb: Ahmad is attending the IMO hospital in Barcelona for his first appointment today. So far we have only raised half the funds he is likely to need to cover his medical fees. We are hoping more donations come in soon.
