✨Scientists have developed a new method to fight the Omicron variant of COVID-19. They transformed a standard type of antibody, known as IgG, into a more potent form called IgA, which comes in two varieties: dimeric and secretory. 1/ 🔬These enhanced IgA antibodies can be delivered directly to the nose and throat areas. 🚨 COVID-19 study alert: Researchers looked at 203 hospitalized COVID patients to understand the virus's effects on the brain. 'This Week in Virology' angrily criticised Dr Aj for saying immunity will be overexuberant and exhausted due to the SAg on Covid's spike.

(A SAg, or superantigen, is an antigen that can harm the immune system). /1a Professor Vincent Racaniello called it nonsense, but now we can see that long Covid causes T cell exhaustion. Experts have claimed that data on Covid in populations disprove the mechanism of severe disease through naïve T cell depletion. Here's why using data from just one demographic to disprove the theory is wrong: 1/ ◽️ The data itself doesn't prove more severe reinfections don't exist. They exist.
◽️ Two conditions put you at risk for severe infection:
• Low naïve T cell count
• High count of T cells that are ready for activation

Articles like this ignore severe reinfections & poor outcomes (decompensation) that Dr Aj published on in 2020.
WHY?
It's inconvenient to tell people they can become very ill/die due to their immune profile. The data isn't in Aj's paper but is under peer review & predicted. 1/ There's a point in your immune system where reinfections will increasingly harm you. Dr Aj described this in early 2022. 2/

Bertolleti's issue is a misrepresentation of Dr Aj's theories which refer to Covid slipping past the T cells that kill virally infected cells and balance immune responses. 1/ Dr Aj claims that Covid's evasion of Natural Killer cells is comparable to dulling the body's ability (via MHC) to warn T cells (CD8) that there's been an invasion. Abatacept is a drug that "disrupts the continuous cycle of T cell activation." A recent study showed its mechanism prevented Covid deaths. Aj cites this as more direct evidence that T Cells harm rather than protect humans in Cov2: "Where is the evidence for T Cell protection?" 1/ Dr Aj was called a "crank" and "not Galileo" for maintaining that the T cells were killing people.

Dr Aj doesn't claim to be an expert on #Cov2. But he is an expert on T cell memory and how effector T cells are formed. For two years, people have discredited his field with lies about how T cells will lead to herd immunity and protect against Covid. 1/ Regarding the so-called Covid experts, no one was a #Cov2 expert in 2020.
