#MLHU is investigating a cluster of COVID-19 cases and there is the strong probability that the Omicron variant of the virus is involved. #LdnOnt #Middlesex /1 MLHU was advised last evening of two COVID-19 cases who screened positive for “S gene target failure” (SGTF) which is a marker for the Omicron variant. These two individuals are amongst a cluster of cases linked to travellers who arrived in London from Nigeria in late November./2

In a significant development, #MLHU will be receiving a 70% increase in its allocation of COVID-19 vaccine over the next several weeks. This will allow #MLHU to deliver more vaccine to more people in our region, with greater speed and efficiency.

Thread ⬇️
#LdnOnt #Middlesex /1 This is particularly good timing, as it will allow acceleration of second doses. Protection against the new Delta variant is much better after two doses (about 90% after two doses vs. 30-40% after one dose).

So you’ve just been tested for #COVID19. While you wait for your test results (which can be scary!), continue to do your part to #StopTheSpread. Here are a few things to think about. Thread below ⬇️⬇️

/1 #LdnOnt #Middlesex @covi_lm @LHSCCanada @ThamesValleyFHT Image While you wait for your test results (typically 24-48 hours):

➡️ Self-isolate until you receive your test result; this means staying at home, away from other members of your household.
