Taught students a/b Woodrow Wilson’s 14-Point Plan in the first half of SS class, then showed how he endorsed segregation by allowing it in the federal gov’t workforce. Also added his screening of The Birth Of A Nation in the White House along w/ a clip of the film. #nced #ncpol I added he lived for a few yrs in Wilmington, NC, the site of the Wilmington Coup, & briefly attended @DavidsonCollege for the in-state connection. His father, a Presbyterian minister, helped organize the Presbyterian Church of the Confederacy. #nced #ncpol
