We (and others) have been analyzing aggregated data on 🇩🇪 gas demand by Trading Hub Europe (THE) tradinghub.eu/en-gb/Publicat…
But how is this data generated and what does this mean for capturing demand response?
My insights from studing guidelines and two phone calls with THE:
1) THE has no own models to estimate demand: they aggregate data from about 700 gas distribution network operators.

Regarding 100% renewable electricity systems, prolonged periods with persistently scarce supply from wind and solar resources have received increasing academic and political attention. Our article explores how such scarcity periods define energy storage requirements.
