Advice for those hitting the streets today:
-leave your phone at home (even if what you're going to might feel tame).
-have a plan in place with your friends/crew about what to do in case of arrest.
-if you are arrested, do not speak to the police (no chit chat, no nothing). 1/

If your friend(s) was arrested at a demo in King County, start here. You can search by legal name or flip thru the pages of the people booked in the last 24hrs. If there were a lot of arrests, booking can take HOURS after the arrest. Patience is unfortunately important here. 2/

PSPS update!!
Much of the infrastructure created to deal with the massive increase in arrests at demos during 2020 is no longer maintained now that arrests are more rare. This means that EVERYONE needs to plan ahead in case of arrest. 1/
If you're going to a demo, or any political event where you might encounter cops, even if you don't expect arrests please:
-Have an arrest plan in place with your crew/AG
-Have someone tapped to talk w/ us or other support crews if needed

With how fast the world moves, the 2020Uprising can feel forever ago. But many of the people arrested during it are still sitting in jail cells serving sentences and awaiting verdicts. We can't forget them. #FreeThemAll
1/ The FBI has been very active over the last 24 hours in several different states. We are seeing reports of door knocks and attempts to contact a wide spectrum of organizers, leftists, anti-fascists and anarchists.

Quick thread on No Charges Filed (NCF). The majority of ppl arrested since the beginning of the uprising have not had charges filed. A VERY important thing to remember is that these charges(or others) CAN be filed in the future. #BLM#JailSupport#seattleprotests
In our 5+ year history we've seen the state not file charges on protest related cases, and then bring those charges back 1 to 1.5 years later. The KC/City Attorney offices are under no legal obligation to not prosecute charges in the future, regardless of what they say today.
