Haven’t been on here much. Taking time to heal. Process. Focus on the things in my life I have neglected over the past years since I decided to try and come forward with my “me too” experience. Lack of social engagement online does not equal lack of care.

“It does matter when you open up a browser and all you see is your perpetrator’s name and you’re somewhere, lost in the discussion.… It’s painful when I see my identity being diminished to that of simply Russell Simmons’ rape accuser” vice.com/en_uk/article/… In the interview with @VICEUK & @heavier_things, I spoke extensively about my frustration with how the media frames survivors of sexual violence. Unless you’re famous, your perpetrator is centered for clicks and other parts of your identity are erased. This is a form of violence.

What in the entire hell are Jay Z and @TIDAL doing by giving Russell Simmons a platform to discuss #BlackLivesMatter? Why do people continue to give him a pass? @marclamonthill did you ask him about the multiple rape allegations against him??? There is *absolutely* an underground movement by powerful Black men in music to help Russell avoid accountability and whitewash his legacy.

I want to take a minute to share some info pointed out to me by someone on here about the NBC statement about releasing people from their NDAs.

Some are my thoughts. Some are from the other person. First, it's great that NBC had Rachel Maddow confirm what the entire world already knew about Ronan Farrow's allegations about how the network killed his Weinstein reporting: they were, true despite whatever the network has been saying. This has got to be a sweet moment for him.

NBC News KNEW. They have a pattern of covering up stories. I know. They killed mine. I went to NBC with allegations against Russell Simmons and AJ Calloway in November 2017. They sat on it until April 2018. I then took my story to @kimmasters
at The Hollywood Reporter. They rigorously vetted my story & published in the face of severe legal threats from Simmons.

This is a thoughtful and well-balanced analysis by @JamilSmith about why it's important to acknowledge the harm of Biden's self-proclaimed well-intentioned use of touch when greeting people he doesn't know. Regarding the photo with Sofie Karasek who recently shared how uncomfortable she felt when he placed his forehead against hers: "...Biden had to know that it was wrong to do that to a woman whom he knew was a survivor of rape." Real talk: The moment ONE victim comes forward with a credible allegation that they have been sexually assaulted, an investigation must be opened into what happened. #FairfaxResign #BelieveSurvivors #MeToo Appropriate measures must taken regarding the alleged perpetrator's behavior, including but not limited to suspension from job duties while the investigation is occurring. #FairfaxResign #BelieveSurvivors

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) (H.R.6545), one of the nation’s single most effective tools in responding to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.  wapo.st/2EHW6Zu?tid=ss… What does VAWA do and why is it so important for it to be reauthorized? Let me break it down.

Beach Week was legendary back in Winter Park, FL where I grew up. HS students, generally sophomores+, would go to New Smyrna Beach, rent $29.99 a night hotel rooms that a parent or an 18 yo student paid for. Kegs, hard liquor, beer bongs until passing out. Rape happened. Often. We didn't call it rape. Girls were targeted because they were outsiders trying to fit in or had a bad reputation for being loose affixed to them by others, including girls (sometimes just bc she was very busty). No one reported. Victims became pariahs. Boys were unscathed
