At some point, do Daily Express readers start to realise that their paper got it completely wrong about Brexit?

Not just on farming. But on fishing.

The Times is still busy pursuing their idea in 2022 that Liz Truss is a suitable person to lead a country... Call her whatever you want - the last time they described someone as The New Iron Lady it was Theresa May. Look how well that went.

Remarkable that some might delude themselves that the Tories are liberal on immigration.
The clue is in the imprint at the base.
Same PO Box as Patriotic Alternative, led by Mark Collett, formerly of the BNP.
I can't believe faking leaflets for another party is remotely legal. Remember when some claimed that if you gave them their Brexit, the far right would be happy and go away. That was always nonsense - they were always going to see it as a gateway and want much more.

It's a good day to reflect on the forced resignation of Kim Darroch from his post as US ambassador in July 2019.
Leaked documents revealed Darroch being highly critical of Trump and Johnson refused to support him, essentially making his position untenable.
theguardian.com/politics/2019/… There's a few points to reflect on here. Firstly, the leak was clearly made by someone who wanted Darroch out if the way. The documents were received by a freelance journalist who was also an employee of the Brexit Party Ltd.

Who pays Farage to spend his time on an endless quest to regain his relevance?
FWIW, the French warship is proceeding legally through a lane of the Dover Straits Traffic Separation Scheme. Image It's impossible for any ship to traverse the Straits of Dover without entering either French or UK waters.
I imagine Nigel turned a blind eye to it though when it's the Russian navy doing exactly the same.

John Redwood has told Joe Biden that Brexiteers have a bigger mandate for leaving the EU than he does for his presidency.
1. Does he really imagine Biden cares about this detail?
huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/joe-bide… 2. A bigger mandate doesn't mean it's fine to break a bilateral international treaty.
3. He's comparing a referendum with a presidential election. On that basis, the current government have a far lesser mandate (43.6%). As does Redwood himself (49.6% in 2019).

Historically and economically illiterate.
Let's take a look at what the 1920s was like in the UK - as it seems that many of the issues aren't entirely unrelated to the context of Brexit... The 1920s are sometimes referred to as the ‘roaring twenties’, but for the UK economy, it was a period of depression, deflation and a steady decline in the UK’s former economic pre-eminence.

Andrea Jenkyns thinks that trading with the EU solely on WTO terms will be a great thing.
She can't name which other countries do this though.
The list is: Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia North Korea...
The tragic thing is, the seat she's in isn't a classic Tory safe seat that hasn't flipped in years.
People remember her initial win there, more for who she defeated.

The people of Morley & Outwood decided they preferred Andrea Jenkins to Ed Balls...

Before you make a laughing post, remember that 30% of Cornwall has child poverty. It's an area that forgotten by most outside holiday season.
Brexiters promised there would be no drop in funding.
Remainers must show compassion to get a majority backing us. cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-… Cornwall may well have voted leave.
It may well be the case that many of us could see that Brexit would mean less money to go round.
People who voted for Brexit mostly aren't bad people.
Treat them as you would victims of fraudsters & con men. Brexit is a collapsing Ponzi scheme.

Today's the last day (under terms of the withdrawal agreement) that the UK can ask for an extension to the transition period.
If we don't extend and have not negotiated and ratified a trade deal by 31st December, we are out on WTO terms.
Most people voted to leave with a deal. Why is there so little coverage of this? It seems that everyone is resigned to the fact that the government will not extend and are happy to go shopping with it.
Half the country believe Johnson has already "got Brexit done".

Just a government contract for £108m handed without tender to a company that in their last accounts only had net assets of £18k...
Remember, Cummings has long detested pesky EU procurement rules... It all seems very weird.

🚨⚠️ This is important ⚠️🚨
Bear this in mind for the next few days until the election (thread).
In the next few days the Tory's millionaire backers will be buying up social media space at a ridiculous rate. We need to do everything we can to counteract this, here's how: 1. Don't give the Tories social media oxygen. Don't react to their posts. Don't comment on their posts. And definitely DON'T share them. Arguing with them or reacting with an angry face else just ensures more people see it.

A brief thread on Esther McVey's comments today about how architects will be designing buildings in 3d ans why Brexit isn't a good thing for the construction industry. First of all, let's be clear that she is completely out of touch.
She is so far behind the times in her understanding of what is happening that it's not even amusing.

Yet more lies from leading Brexiters.
Apart from anything else, there is no such place as Slough General Hospital...
For that matter, Slough isn't in London either.
#stopbrexit #brexitlies The sad thing is, her lies get 500 retweets in 6 hours.
Misinformation from Brexiters spreads like wildfire.
