When you spend your career pushing for change, it can make those in power uncomfortable. And sometimes you pay a price for that.

But, friends, that’s a price I’m willing to pay — because we know the cost of inaction is so much higher. It’s easy to look around & feel resignation about what we can accomplish. To feel like the best we can do is settle for a little less & retreat to safer paths, rather than the right ones.

But in these moments, I think back to one of my most profound experiences in politics.

1) Are there any other big aspirations you have for MA’s future aside from figuring out what work will look like in the yrs ahead & “getting there 1st”? Like ending childhood hunger, or

Last night, the Leg broke for August with no #FBRC bill. @massgovernor defended it, saying ppl don't give credit for “how difficult it is to change that formula.” I was also characterized as criticizing my colleagues for delay.

So I want to be clear.
