#MountCook National Park was established in 1953 and is adjacent to New Zealand's West End National Park, Asparine Hills National Park, & Fiordland National Park. Mount Cook National Park is made up of glaciers, steep walls, hot springs, mountain forests and various wild animals. Two-thirds of the park is covered by beech & arhat pine in the south, some of which are over 800 years old.
