Police in Mangochi district have arrested 34-year-old Sarah Gerald on allegations that she forcibly held custody of a 4-year-old girl with albinism as collateral, after the child's mother failed to repay a loan of K20,000.00 which she took from the suspect. Mangochi Police Public Relations Officer Amina Daudi said the incident occurred yesterday at M'baluku Trading Centre in the district.

Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe, have arrested a couple, 19-year-old Innocent Mbewe and his 15-year-old wife, in connection to the murder of a 6-year-old child, Loyce Tembo.

Reported by Cathy Maulidi Kanengo Police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira has told Times 360 Malawi that on October 21, 2023, the girl's mother, Caroline Tembo reported to police that the girl had gone missing and since then, officers have been investigating the matter.

#FuelDealsCase: Chief Resident Magistrate Patrick Chirwa has ruled that the second witness, Deputy CEO of Nocma Helen Buluma, may tender any document at any point as long as she is still testifying.

Reported by Audrey Kapalamula. Chirwa said the objection on the matter is based on technicalities in tendering the evidence hence they must not pay much regard to such matters at the expense of justice.
