@Everytown We need allies to speak up every time they see a lie about trans people.
1. No, parents aren't "transing" their kids. Being trans is like being left-handed, something you realize about yourself, not something you decide.
2. If you want to know when your child comes out, @Everytown 2 cont. Be the parent they trust. The person to be upset with if you're the last to know is yourself.
3. Nobody is mutilating anybody, least of all young kids. Gender-affirming care until at least puberty is about mental health. After that, it's a juggling act...

What we're seeing right now in #onted is the result of decades of neglected #infrastructure. Even some brand-new schools do not have adequate ventilation systems because they cut corners when building them. 1/x Public buildings have a lifespan of 50-70 years if maintained properly. Beyond that, the wiring and ventilation systems, to say nothing of the materials used in construction, are old enough to need a total overhaul even if nothing is obviously wrong with them (it will be.) 2/x

I'm a grade one teacher in #onted . I have a #math specialist qualification and will be a lead teacher for implementing this new curriculum. So here are my initial professional thoughts on this new math curriculum: ontario.ca/page/new-math-… Structure: Changing the structure of the document to show connections from year to year is a good change. But that mapping has already been done for the old curriculum. It's not new. Statement rating: overstated.
