1/4 "My message is that Russia can be beaten. Russia lost in Afghanistan, and in Syria they are in such a mess they don't know how to get out of it. Assad's economy is collapsing, he doesn't have an army that wants to fight for him.

Sometimes I worry I rant too much about how people, especially left-wing people, are acting as genocide enablers over Syria. And then I go to listen to some Syrian revolutionaries, as I did at an art gallery in King's Cross last Tuesday
1/ and the greatest pain they feel every day is that people ignore the suffering Assad has put them, their friends and relatives, and their country through. They are not grateful to those who have said the international community should do nothing to stop Assad.
