KANYADAAN CONTROVERSY (A Thread)
The feminists and wokes have been raking it up every few months without full understanding of the practice or language.

The real term for the ceremony is Kanya Pratigrahan. In popular lingo (colloquially) it has been called as Kanyadaan. Pratigrahan means acceptance. The problem with the world is not that people do not know how to give, but that people do not know how to receive.

Daan is just giving. It does NOT always mean donation. Aadaan - pradaan are two words that have no donation-like connotation.
