Government has announced changes to the "Retained EU Legislation Bill" without informing Parliament directly.

1. questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statem…

2. gov.uk/government/new…

(Thanks @stellacreasy)

#wato #bbcpm @stellacreasy They've reimplemented the REUL dashboard using a diffrent platform?

But still no links from it to the retained legislation, let alone the changed legislation, which might actually have made it of more than passing interest.

For the Bankof England to sell SVB UK to HSBC it had to have taken SVB over in the first place - last night.

#r4today "The Bank of England, in consultation with the Prudential Regulation Authority, HM Treasury and the Financial Conduct Authority, has taken the decision to sell Silicon Valley Bank UK Limited, the UK subsidiary of the US bank, to HSBC UK Bank"

Shapps told @bbcr4today on Friday that "We have doubled the number of places available for HGV drivers to get tested; in other words twice as many tests as before the coronavirus". What did he mean?

@BBCr4today He plans to change the testing regime so that drivers can qualify to drive a rigid lorry and an articulated lorry in a single test rather than two. Does he assume that enables testing centres to offer twice as many tests?

The UK put its proposed tariff schedule to other WTO members on 22 July 2018, which might seem ludicrously late.

Did anybody at the BBC notice?

At least seven countries have lodged major objections to the proposal.

Shouldn't that be considered news?

#bbcaq Here's the official UK attempt to establish an independent position in the WTO. There are no supporting documents.
