THREAD: We always knew the 2022 elections were going to be challenging. But the one chance we had to reverse the historical trends was to show voters that a Democratic majority could govern, could deliver solutions, and that even when we lost, we were willing to fight. /1 For months we’ve been asking @POTUS to step up and fight for the agenda he ran on. To throw every tool, every surrogate, every media approach behind what is already an incredibly popular agenda. On #BuildBackBetter and the #FreedomToVoteAct, he’s refused. /2

They must #GetBackToWork to address the devastation COVID-19 continues to inflict. #DemocracyIsEssential @AndreaSCousins @CarlHeastie /1 We’re grateful for the constituent services focus BUT there is only one person in their district who can legislate...and we need real legislation to kick-off a true #PeoplesRecovery! #DemocracyIsEssential /2

Since they cannot print money & their debt is not supported in the way Federal Treasuries are, they must approach the credit markets just like any other corporation. /2
