Quick thread / rant on @IEA's April Oil Market Report, which uses language that normalizes disastrous #climate outcomes ... like a future in which the oil industry remains "central to the functioning of the global economy."🤦🏼‍♀️

@PriceofOil statement here: priceofoil.org/2020/04/15/sta… As @IEABirol says, countries should put clean energy at the ♥️ of economic recovery packages.

But how does that square with the IEA's message today that governments should "help bring the oil industry back from the brink"?

A: It doesn't.
