I wish I had a more hopeful message for young people suffering from anorexia. I wish I could say something more encouraging: “the revulsion with yourself will subside, my sweet, let yourself rest.” Alas I cannot say that. The revulsion doesn’t subside. It only morphs & twists 1/ There’ll still be days you wish to claw your way out of your own skin with disgust at your own self; days you don’t want to get out of bed because life doesn’t seem worth it; days where every mouthful of food is a struggle. Days where your mind is tiring, too tiring. 2/
