پاک فوج کا دفاعی بجٹ

دفاعی بجٹ اکثر تنقیداور غلط فہمیوں کا موضوع بنا رہتا ہے جس کی وجہ سے اس موضوع پر غلط بحث ہوتی ہے۔

آئیے دفاعی بجٹ، خاص طور پر اس میں پاک فوج کے حصے کے بارے میں حقیقت جاننے کے لئے ایک فیکٹ چیک کریں۔ کیا ہر سال دفاعی بجٹ میں اضافہ ہوتا ہے؟ عام تاثریہی ہے کہ اضافہ ہوتا ہے، لیکن حقیقت میں ایسا نہیں ہے۔

اسٹاک ہوم انٹرنیشنل پیس ریسرچ انسٹی ٹیوٹ کے مطابق 90 کی دہائی سے پاکستان کے دفاعی بجٹ میں مسلسل کمی دیکھی گئی ہے۔

Defense Budget remains a subject of frequent criticism & misconceptions leading to ill informed debates on the topic.
 
Let’s conduct a fact check to establish the reality regarding #DefenseBudget, particularly of Pak Army’s share in it. Does defense budget increases every year? General perception is yes, but the fact is ‘No’, it doesn’t.
 
According to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), a consistent decrement has been observed in Pakistan’s defense budget since 1990s.

The latest World Bank’s Public Expenditure Review 2023 highlights that “Pakistan’s federal SOEs have been found to be the least profitable in the South Asia region.
