@ScottMorrisonMP The architecture of TraceTogether, which sends all contacts to central infra, IS NOT the same as the Google/Apple beacon approach, which only sends "I'm infected" notifications to central infra. You need to obtain better technology advice.
I don't 100% support the Google/Apple approach BUT it is definitely better than TraceTogether. TraceTogether arbitrarily sends all contacts to central server and then correlation to infected cases is done centrally.

@CroweDM ANY assertion that TraceTogether does not allow for individualised location tracing is entirely misleading and ignores correlation risk from telco metadata. There ARE ways of achieving this but THIS WAY is not it. #privacy#zkp#overreach#fakenews
Thread continues: Phones pinging off each other gives location data for 100 metre range to 10 metre radius. That is to say I can detect someone else's phone up to 100m away and measure that distance within 10m accuracy.
