#Moon_Receives_Light_From_Sun

We were taught that by western scholars that moon receives light from sun as this is mentioned in our textbooks

yes it is true that moon receives light from sun but the question arises that it was discovered by western scholars or not So for this, we need to go in the past and check

whether we get any trace that moon receives light from sun. Let’s check the world’s oldest Hindu text Rigveda. Rigveda Says:

सू॒र्यां यत्पत्ये॒ शंस॑न्तीं॒ मन॑सा सवि॒ताद॑दात् ॥ RV 10/85/9

Why do we ring the bell in a temple?
Is it to wake up the Lord? But the Lord never sleeps. Is it to let the Lord know we have come? He does not need to be told, as He is all knowing.
@Sanjay_Dixit @Aabhas24 @Aadishakti_101 @VandanaJayrajan @MissSingh04 @tripathisam2020
Is it a form of seeking permission to enter His precinct? It is a homecoming and therefore entry needs no permission. The Lord welcomes us at all times. Then why do we ring the bell?
@gopugoswami @BesuraTaansane @Aadhiraspeaks @smita_muk @iamvinitshinde @jamwal_rocky @pdkamath
The ringing of the bell produces what is regarded as an auspicious sound. It produces the sound Om, the universal name of the Lord. There should be auspiciousness within and without, to gain the vision of the Lord who is all-auspiciousness.

Why do we do Namaste?
Indians greet each other with namaste. The two palms are placed together in front of the chest and the head bows whilst saying the word namaste. This greeting is
@Sanjay_Dixit @Aabhas24 @VandanaJayrajan @ShefVaidya @fgautier26 @_frida_most_
for all - people younger than us, of our own age, those older than friends, even strangers and us.
There are five forms of formal traditional greeting enjoined in the shaastras of which namaskaram is one.
@iamvinitshinde @MYNKBHRDWJ @brahman_kanya @_Just_A_Soul__ @JAIN_24T
This is understood as prostration but it actually refers to paying homage as we do today when we greet each other with a namaste.
Namaste could be just a casual or formal greeting, a cultural convention or an act of worship.

Sanskrit terms used by the husband for the wife were Pathni (the one who leads the husband through life), Dharmapathni (the one who guides the husband in dharma) and Sahadharmacharini

(one who moves with the husband on the path of dharma; righteousness and duty).
This is how ancient Vedic culture viewed the partnership of husband and wife.
In Rig Veda(10.85), the marriage hymn, states that the

daughter-in-law should be treated as a queen, sāmrajni, by all the family members especially the mother-in-law, husband, father-in-law.

Why do we light a lamp?
In almost every Indian home a lamp is lit daily before the altar of the Lord. In some houses it is lit at dawn, in some, twice a day – at dawn and dusk – and in a few it
@VandanaJayrajan @Sanjay_Dixit @sambhashan_in @meenakshisharan @Aabhas24
is maintained continuously - Akhanda Deepa. All auspicious functions commence with the lighting of the lamp, which is often maintained right through the occasion.
Light symbolizes knowledge, and darkness - ignorance.

@mehergardhBaloc
The Lord is the "Knowledge Principle" (Chaitanya) who is the source, the enlivener and the illuminator of all knowledge. Hence light is worshiped as the Lord himself.
Knowledge removes ignorance just as light removes
