I found out the 1st #Myanmar #COVID19 #coronavirus patient (1 of 2 patients) 36-year-old male who's hospitalised in #Tedim hospital #Chin state #Myanmar returned from the #US to get married in Chin state. His wedding now delayed. He spoke to local media & said he's feeling well
The 36-year-old patient had arrived in #Yangon, then flew to #Kalay #Kale town in #Sagaing #Myanmar, spent a night there where he took pre-wedding photos before taking a bus with other passengers to another town
The man who apparently has a #US green card wasn't feeling sick when in arrived in #Yangon from the US. He only fell ill later, visited clinic & tested #COVID19 positive. But unclear where he caught the virus. Seems #Myanmar authorities doing #ContactTracing along route he took.
The 36-year-old male patient apparently said his #COVID19 #coronavirus symptoms are mild & he's recovering well. But as 1 of 2 patients who're now the 1st cases in #Myanmar, he says many blaming the 2 including him for bringing virus into country. Such backlash is very unhelpful
